Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar Recalled by Nutrisystem Due to possible Listeria Contamination

On October 11, 2016, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Nutrisystem Everyday, LLC, the retail division of Nutrisystem Inc. issued a voluntary recall of the Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars that may be contaminated with Listeria.
Recalled Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars
Nutrisystem Everyday LLC was notified by a third party supplier that one of its ingredients might potentially contain Listeria. While no illnesses have been reported, the company in conjunction with the FDA is doing a voluntary recall out of “an abundance of concern”.
This recall covers bars sold as a 5 count carton. The product can be identified by the UPC 6 32674 85579 4 Enjoy by Aug 22 2017 and Lot Code NF082216A. If you believe you purchased this product, the code information can be found on the back panel of the carton. The five count cartons chocolate chip cookie dough bars were distributed to ShopRite and Hannaford Stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and online through Amazon.com and Walmart.com. NutriSystems also has a ‘direct to customer’ segment however, none of the potentially contaminated product was sold through this segment.
